With all the money and time in the world isn't much if one is forced to experience all on our own. To do countless important things with time– it has to be synchronised with other people's. Yet in the weariness of relationships and the noise of our busy lives, we begin to build walls to protect our hearts.
We set boundaries so firm they sometimes keep love out too. We hide behind keyboards, reaching for connection but missing its warmth.
In the messiness of these moments, I find myself pondering the balance between community and solitude. To love others and be loved well, we must also take care of ourselves. We remember to be kind and gentle with our own hearts, and allow healing to take place, even when it calls for reflection and painful growth.
Through the messiness of connection and the stillness of solitude, we learn to bloom again. We learn to receive grace and to extend it. Even through cracks, wildflowers can bloom. - R
